Single Thread Vaginal Tightening (STVT), The Bader technique

Vaginal relaxation and prolapses are very common issues which women are facing especially after giving birth. The traditional procedure of posterior / Anterior repair is the indicated method for decades. With the evolution of techniques and the merge between the functional and aesthetic methods, many different ideas emerged. In 2010 Dr. Alex Bader introduced his new technique which was based on using the barbed thread to perform the surgery. The uniqueness of the procedure was not only the introduction of the barbed suture but also the performance of a complete vaginal repair using a single barbed thread. The technique brought major advantages to the specific operational method: Much less surgical intervention, Lower rate of local inflammatory reaction to the sutures,  Faster Procedure, Much better functional outcomes, Collagen regeneration due to monoflamate stitching material. This course is brought to you by E.S.A.G., the European Society of Aesthetic Gynecology.
